Computer-Aided Drafting & Design
Kellogg Community College’s CADD program is designed to provide you with the foundation of knowledge needed to successfully function in a drafting and design environment. CADD technology is introduced at the very beginning of the curriculum and is used throughout the program for the completion of drawings and models. We use two of the most popular CADD packages in the industry, AutoCADD LT® and SolidWorks®. The KCC CADD program offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology. Completion of the program opens the door to full-time employment or to transfer to a four-year school. Students interested in transferring to a four-year institution should seek advice from the KCC CADD Instructors about information on the transfer programs currently available. Why choose the KCC CADD Program?
It is an exciting time in the field of drafting and design. Computers have replaced pencils and triangles for drawing. KCC’s new state-of-the-art equipment,
combined with valuable hands-on experience, will give you what you need to start a thriving CADD career in the 21st century.
It all starts here.

Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is the process where a drafter/designer/engineer creates drawings or models that define a given product before it is ready to
be manufactured. The drafter is the key link in the design engineering process and manufacturing steps, and must possess a working knowledge of design principles,
material properties, and manufacturing processes.
