Accounting (ACCO) Program

Calculator and paper Accounting is a program that exposes you to all of the functional areas of accounting such as compiling and analyzing business records and preparing financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cost studies, and tax reports. The major opportunity fields are public accounting and governmental accounting.

Our program offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree, and a Certificate, in the Accounting area. The coursework includes classroom lectures on accounting principles, accounting practice sets, computer-based activities, and tax preparations. Strong mathematical and reading skills are recommended prior to attempting courses in this area. Students must possess the ability to analyze numbers and make logical decisions.

Why choose our program?
• Local employers and representatives from local organizations serve on our advisory board and keep us informed of the developments in the field so that we can maintain a current and dynamic curriculum.

• It provides valuable Cooperative Education (co-op) experiences in successful businesses. Contact Douglas Mann for more information about available co-op jobs.

• To accommodate your busy schedule, some of our classes are offered as online classes.
