Renovations almost complete The renovations to the Lane-Thomas building are still ahead of schedule. Staff and some programs have been able to move into the second and third floors. Some staff occupants that have moved in include the EMS Department, Public Safety and Facilities, Scheduling, Sienna Heights University office and Police Academy Department. |

HLC visits February 13-15 The Higher Learning Commission makes its site visit to KCC this month. Several educators make up the team, and they are allowed to poke around, ask questions, sit in on classes, whatever they would like to do. This is the team who decides if we will receive accreditation, a very important element to the life of the College. If asked, be prepared to know the mission statement or the intent of the mission statement. "KCC is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality education to enrich our community and the lives of individual learners." The mission statement is the over-all directive the College follows. Don't miss Two Sistas and a Brotha KCC's Dr. Gerald Blanchard will be teaming with Alfrelynn Roberts and Carmen Smith to present Two Sistas and a Brotha: A Celebration of African American Art Songs & Spirituals. They will be coming together to perform songs composed by African American composers or inspired by African American authors. This event will held in the Davidson Visual Art Auditorium at 3pm Monday, February 26th. Nancy Brown and Paula Krontz-Harris will the pianists for the show. |
